Clerical Officer

The role of a Clerical Officer is to  provide a high standard of customer service and administration to patients and the department. Part of your role will be to receive and check documentation. Retrieve and input information onto reports. Access patient information. You will also be asked to input information onto an IT system. Staff will also ask you to retrieve information for patients as and when required. Your main role will be to process patient and other documentation.

It’s important that you are welcoming, as you will be the first point of contact for patients and other visitors to the department. This role is an important part of the team as you will be providing a clerical service to the department and support to the team to deliver a high standard of service to patient, staff and trust departments.

To excel in this role you will need to be numerate and literate, with good IT skills. Motivation and keen to learn is a must. Good interpersonal skills as you will have daily contact with patients and be able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
