Trainee Clinical Support Worker

The Trainee Clinical Support Worker role is an opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills to provide compassionate care to a wide range of patients. This role is for people who are interested in a career in health care, who do not necessarily have the qualifications and/or experience. What the role involves:

  • A 6 month training contract in total
  • An initial 4 week boot camp, where the fundamentals of care are taught in a mixture of classroom and virtual settings
  • Remainder of the contract spent on a ward gaining clinical skills, building confidence and obtaining a Care Certificate.

Upon completion of the Care Certificate, alongside 6 months clinical experience, the Trainee Clinical Support Worker will then be offered a permanent contract, or if they require a more flexible approach, a contract with the Trust’s staff bank service.
