Entry Requirements
- Maths and English at Grade C or higher.
- Support to gain Functional Skills Maths and English Level 2, would be determined by an initial assessment.
Who is this course for?
A team leader or supervisor is a first line management role, with operational/project responsibilities or responsibility for managing a team to deliver a clearly defined outcome.
This apprenticeship has been designed to provide access to development opportunities for as wide a range of individuals as possible. This includes individuals who are at the start of their career in leadership and management and who wish to take their first steps into professional management. It is also appropriate for those already in management roles who may already have developed practical experience but who wish to develop their theoretical understanding of management skills.
The key responsibilities should include:
- Supporting, managing and developing team members
- Managing projects
- Planning and monitoring workloads and resources
- Delivering operational plans
- Resolving problems
- Building relationships internally and externally.

Additional Information
This apprenticeship is backed by Royal Charter. Chartered Management Institute (CMI) are the only professional body able to offer Chartered Manager Status. If CMI is your EPA, you will be awarded Foundation Chartered Manager on completion of this Apprenticeship, which puts you on a development pathway to full Chartered Manager status.
