Start Your Journey Leeds

The Leeds Health and Care Academy has worked with partners to facilitate a collection of fully-funded onboarding and retention initiatives for new starters in entry level health and care roles. The initiatives include activities that aim to support with resilience and wellbeing, communicating with patients or service users, building a network, and accessing a peer mentor who can act as a guide for the colleague during the first part of their role.

To ensure that both organisations and employees are aware of the opportunities available, we have created two posters that list the initiatives that can be accessed, along with details of how to book onto the activities. These initiatives have not been created to replace any existing organisational induction activities, but to offer additional, city-wide support. They are available to anybody new to working in health and care in Leeds, in an entry level position.

To download either of these posters to use within your organisation, please right-click on the document you would like to download, and click ‘save as’. Please share this page with teams in your organisations who have recently taken on / are recruiting for entry level members of staff.
