The Leeds Community Mission Challenge (CMC) brought together professionals from health, care and public services with a shared goal: helping prevent children aged 0–2 from becoming looked after.
Working alongside the Cabinet Office and the Department of Health and Social Care, the programme adopted the Test, Learn and Grow (TLG) approach. This enabled partners to work collaboratively, test new ideas quickly, learn from experience and adapt their approach in real time.
Here at the Leeds Health and Care Academy, the CMC provided an opportunity to deepen our understanding of what enables effective partnership working. By focusing on the workforce aspects of the programme, we explored how the team successfully created a cross-organisational partnership and learning we can apply across Leeds. The findings offer valuable insights into the conditions, behaviours and structures that support successful collaboration across the health and care system.
