April 2020 - March 2021
2020 was a year that nobody could have expected. The health and care workforce experienced one of its most difficult periods in recent history, and the whole city pulled together to overcome a pandemic.
As an Academy we are inspired by the way that Leeds overcame boundaries to create a strong and capable vaccinator workforce, and we feel incredibly proud to have been able to facilitate that. Alongside the COVID vaccination programme, we made great progress with other important services, including developing a T Level qualification and data apprenticeships on behalf of the city, working with system leaders to help them work across organisational boundaries, and progressing with four further cohorts of the Springboard programme. You can read more about this in the report.
Now that we’re beginning to emerge from the pandemic, we are hopeful that the city can continue to work as one, as partner organisations have been brought closer together than ever before.
We’d like to say a big thank you to all of our partner organisations and supporters, who have been instrumental to the strong performance evidenced in this report. We’d also like to say an important thank you to the members of the Leeds health and care workforce who have engaged in our services this past year. Our portfolio will continue to evolve throughout 2021/22, so please do recommend our programmes to your colleagues.
