Leeds Health and Care Learning Portal: New Courses Available

Over 70 new training courses and development programmes are now available on the Leeds Health and Care Learning Portal.   

This online catalogue of free development resources, training and learning content can be accessed by anybody working or volunteering for a health and social care organisation in Leeds, regardless of employer, role or level of experience.  

These new and engaging video-based training courses address equality, diversity, inclusion, wellbeing, leadership and teamwork, and have been co-designed with people with lived experience in each subject area. Short videos guide you through a wide range of topics, and downloadable reference materials are also available for a number of courses. 

The new content is located under the following categories on the Learning Portal, we’ve provided some examples of the courses available under each:  

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion:

  • Allyship 
  • Disability Etiquette 
  • Cultural Awareness in the Workplace 
  • Bullying and Harassment: Effective Interventions 

Wellbeing & Personal Development:

  • How to be More Productive 
  • Assert Yourself 
  • Menopause at Work 
  • Mental Health in the Workplace: Managing Stress 

Leadership:

  • Dealing With Sensitive Issues 
  • Motivating People 
  • Developing Leadership Skills 
  • Avoiding Workplace Conflict 

If you already have an account on the Learning Portal, you can navigate to the new courses by clicking on the ‘System Leadership, Change & Culture’ button on your homepage. You will then be able to see the learning categories which house the different training content.  

If you haven’t yet created your free account, visit the Portal and click the ‘create new account’ link. Once you’ve signed up and your account has been activated, you will be able to access the full portfolio of learning opportunities.
