Pressure Ulcer Prevention

The Leeds Health and Care Academy worked in partnership with Leeds Health and Care providers to align the approach to pressure ulcer prevention training, awareness and delivery across health and social care in Leeds.

We worked to identify, agree and adopt an e-learning training package applicable to all providers.

The Pressure Ulcer Prevention e-learning training is now in place and is based on national guidance. It explains how to identify and manage some of the risk factors that cause pressure ulcers. By adopting a collaborative approach to the training, we can align our practices across the city and ensure the best possible care for our patients and service users and prevent pressure ulcers.
