Becoming a Leeds Health and Care Ambassador
Workforce ambassadors are people employed in a wide range of roles in the health and care sector who visit schools, colleges, communities and jobcentres to talk about what they do to inspire and motivate people to pursue careers in the health and care sector.
Leeds health and care ambassadors are developed through the Skills For Care I Care Ambassadors programme.
If you work in health and care and would like to train to become an ambassador, you will firstly need the approval of your line manager. You will take part in a half-day induction and then need to be released from your role two or three times a year to attend events in the city. To find out more please contact LHCA@leeds.gov.uk
